Roll That Beautiful Bean Footage...

Member those old school commercials? So Today I started a job for Bush Baked Beans, and so far it's going great. Small crew, smooth easy shots, cool Production Manager, not very long hours, and the best Caterer I have ever tasted. Those Bruce Catering guys kick ass man!

Tomorrow is day 2 of 2 on this job, hope it goes as smooth.

The Night Shoots!

Working nights is tough on your body! Last night I had a 12:00am call and we didn't wrap til 12:00pm today! That was day 1 of 3 long nights for this Outback Steakhouse Commercial. It's so hard to stay awake when you don't prepare for it the night before like I did.

The craziest thing that happened to today was me being rear-ended by a motorist while I was on a run in the Production Cube truck. My truck was fine, but but that little honda civic was done! Kinda felt sorry for the young teenage as he reminded me of my dork-ass little brother.

Now, I'm off to another night of shooting in northridge.

Back From the Snow!

I'm finally home! I was up in Mammoth for 8 days on the same AOL commercial. I had so much fun, but it has to be one of the toughest jobs I have ever worked. I was fighting the temperature, the cold wind, the alttitude, and the 4 feet of snow. Thank god I bought enough snow gear.

I would go back to Mammoth only if I took a little vacation, don't want to work or go on a job to that location again. I messed up my back, another PA got a minor hernia, and a coordinator was sent to the hospital for high blood pressure. It's tough up there, I got a bloody nose once at 13,000 feet elevation. It's so cold, your tears freeze up!

I'm now glad to be back home. I'm planning on my big move. On the 21st of January, I'm moving to Stevenson's Ranch next to Valencia. But I'm working so much, that I probably wont get a chance to move my stuff until after the 28th. But I'm totally excited.

Tuesday I start a new commercial, don't know what it's for yet.

Back in Action

Call time: 5:00 A.M

Wrap: 6:00 P.M.

It was tough waking up in the morning today because I was used to sleeping in all last week. I must of hit the snooze button about 4 times this morning.

The day was slow. We are still on this AOL commercial which wraps on the 12th of January. They had to call wrap earlier than expected due to some actors falling out of a boat. We were shooting this canoe race with three principles* in a small canoe being pulled by wire up a body of water. They then speeded up things because the director wanted more speed, so they pulled harder and out came the actors, two adults and a twelve year old boy fell in this yucky water. Everyone became silent when the little boy fell in the water, but luckily they pulled him up quickly because I don't think he knew how to swim.

This just means that tomorrow is going to be a super long day because now they have to play catch-up. I'm guessing that I won't make it home til 10:00 or 11:00 at night tomorrow... oh boy!

So as I drive home tonight my truck's dash board lights up telling me that I have a flat. In great Jaime fashion, I ignore it and drive all the way from Long Beach to Studio City on a rear flat tire. I get off the freeway, and of course it's a flat. I fill the tire up so that I can get home and change my tire at home. Yes, I made it! But now I have to spend a half an hour to pop on the spare, and dang I'm hungry. This tire thing is cutting into my beauty sleep, but at least I made it home.

Now, I sleep fast again, and wake up at 4:00 A.M., tomorrow.

... is there a Rose Bowl today?
